WILLIAM G. ROHRER ATTENDANCE PROCEDURES

ABSENCES:

All absences from school (this includes 7:45am music class) must be reported by
a parent/guardian via a telephone call to 869-7750, Ext. 8777 before 8:31, on each
day your child is absent.

An email to: nmathews@haddontwpschools.com is also acceptable.

When your child returns to school, a note and/or email from parent/guardian must be
given/emailed to the attendance secretary. An absence of five (5) days or more requires
a doctor’s note.

LATENESS:

If your child is going to be late to school (this includes 7:45am music class) it must be
reported by a parent/guardian via a telephone call to 869-7750, Ext. 8777 and/or email
before 8:31.

Any student arriving late to school without a note/email from a parent/guardian will be
marked as an unexcused late. An unexcused lateness will result in disciplinary action.

Please keep in mind that a note does not make the lateness excused, it is the reason
that determines whether lateness is excused or unexcused.

EARLY RELEASE:

If your child needs to leave early due to a doctor’s appt., family event, etc.,
a note/email must be given/emailed to the attendance secretary that morning
before 1st period
.  A parent/guardian must come to the office to sign their child out.

FAMILY VACATIONS:

If your child is going to be absent due to a family vacation, a note/email must be
given/emailed to the attendance secretary two weeks prior for the absence to be excused.
